Hi,
I'm Jude.
Growing up, I was taught to look forward to a well-paying job and a fulfilling career. I pursued my passion and interests related to the natural environment, both in and out of the workplace. What I didn’t expect was the degree to which the demands of modern work life would drain me, leaving me feeling burned out about the way I was working in my chosen profession that I am so passionate about.
I first encountered the power of Tai Chi to build inner resilience during an instructive demonstration in which the teacher was able to effortlessly hold his arms outstretched long beyond any of the students. At that moment I realized, “There is more to our physical bodies than meets the eye.” It sent me on a quest to discover what that power was. I then met and began studying with Master Henry Wang in B.C. Canada in 2000 that opened up another magnitude of understanding of internal Tai Chi principles. Over the last three decades, I have been exploring, studying and teaching Tai Chi & Qigong principles and here’s what I’ve learned:
- Learning to be soft in a hard world allows us to access subtle energy and hidden abilities.
- Don’t believe everything you think. Our minds often work against us and create destructive tension in our bodies.
- We’ll be waiting a long time for change to happen if we don’t initiate change within ourselves first.
- How you connect to your body, the Earth, and the greater field that surrounds us opens up greater solutions to the problems we face.
In 2018, in alignment with this understanding, I embarked on a major life change where I left my career government job for a new path. I am now pursuing my life’s calling, combining my love of biology and nature with Tai Chi. It has taken much courage and introspection to walk away from the illusion of security from the past "normal" to new ways. As we enter 2020 and beyond, I am more dedicated than ever to sharing the power of Tai Chi to transform people’s lives. I hope you’ll join me.
What is Zero Point Tai Chi?
Zero Point Tai Chi is the practice of using Tai Chi and Qigong movements to release the tension that blocks our innate abilities to feel the free flow of energy. It is to reconnect with our greater self where there is "no time" and we are fully in the present moment. The Zero Point field is where universal creative energy exists and natural healing and well-being lives. Here, we let go of the mental, analytical thinking mind and move back into the balance of the Yin-Yang or divine feminine-divine masculine.
